Learn new technology skills by watching the videos and working through the hands-on project in one of our technology tutorials that you will find in the TechTraining portion of our site. (e.g. Digital Imaging, 2D Animation, or Power Point) Step 2. Search our site for a lesson plan that maps to your core curriculum and that uses technology skills in a project based learning experience. If you are looking at one of our technology courses, try the link that says, “Find related lesson plans” otherwise, use the lesson search tool. (Lesson plans are fully editable in your word processor and can be customized easily for your class and student needs). Step 3. Implement the lesson and support the technology integration by using our technology skill videos with your students. You do not have to be the technology expert! Step 4. Integrate our other awesome video resources like Streaming Futures or gURL Tech to support your class project. Here are some sample guide sheets that map the process of integrating KOL resources into the classroom.
For each technology topic there are videos and lessons which: A) help teachers learn new technology skills and B) can be used with students to help teach technology Technology integrated academic lesson plans are also available for each topic listed. Once a teacher has learned new technology skills, they can search for standards-based core academic lesson plans that integrate that technology. These lessons have been created by educators in North America who have looked at mapping them across learning standards in North America. They primarily target grades 6-12.
A teacher works through the Web Page Creation training resources and decides that they are ready to integrate this technology into their science class. A search of the lesson plans, in science that use Web Page Creation as the technology reveals the following lesson plans: Endangered Species, Ozone, Technology Inventions, Solar Energy, Medical Inventions or Volcanoes.
